Chitosan Capsule

Chitosan is hailed as a "fat magnet", because it is cationic (positively charged) and fat molecules (lipids) are neutral or slightly negatively charged. The positively charged chitosan molecules bind to the negatively charged parts of the fat molecules. This binding occurs through electrostatic interactions, where the positive charge of chitosan attracts and holds onto the fat molecules. This process forms a gel-like complex between the chitosan and the fat, making the fat molecules less soluble and more difficult for the body to absorb.
